The Experiment of Fear (2017)- full story

This story is not recommended for people under the age of 17 and sensitive people due to disturbing (potentially triggering)  scenes, especially for people with some of the disorders where fear is prevailing (such as anxiety), brutal more explicit scenes, autodestructive behavior. This story is based on my psychology knowledge,but some things might be different as the psyche of a person isn't stable and every person might have different mindset, even within same disorder. The story is a psychological horror.

18.2.2017

 From the early morning, three scientists sat in the lab and agreed on their scientific project. Erwan (the oldest among them): "This will be the project of our lives!" Roslyn (the only woman in the group): "Don't forget that, also, a very controversial project. " Marcus (the youngest of them three): "That's why we have to work this project secretly, if we think to be successful." Roslyn: "We found our subjects in medical records, all four are lost cases." Erwan: "Their lives are not important, science is important!" Marcus: "Okay, Erwan, now you sound like a crazy scientist!" Roslyn: "That's because we're going to study these for whom people think they are crazy ... When we bring them in?" Marcus: "Tomorrow, everything is ready for them."

 Notes by dr. Erwan: "Subjects will be brought to the cell tomorrow, where they will be until we determine who will first give up. The research is about the suicide and who will, from the four risk groups, end their life first and what will lead to that. Actually, we will study fear as the cause of suicide. I wanted to do this experiment in the hospital, but they told me it was inhuman and insane. They will see this was an important experiment in understanding the worst form of fear, the one that makes people to go against their survival instinct. What is this fear stronger than our natural instincts? What should be its intensity to lead to suicide? My colleagues will help me with this, and the main problem is to bring these people here. All four are females as the males tends to hide more inside and show symptoms later, also Dr. Roslyn has managed to get their cards. The subjects will be settled in the rooms where the camera is placed in the room, but also in the bathroom, in order to study their movements. We'll write everything in the notes to complete the research. "

DAY FIRST

 Four young women are placed in four cells: Josette, who has been suffering from social anxiety for years, Mael, who has schizophrenia, Anais, who for decade has been struggling with eating disorder and Loan with PSTD (posttraumatic disorder). Doctors have chosen them because there was no progress in their treatment and they needed four people for study.

 Room no.1: Loan (looking at the doctors): "This is the killing of my freedom! I want to go home." Dr.Marcus: "You can not go anywhere, you will live here for some time." Loan: "Since I'm alone anyway, I don't care about it. It might good for me to move out of the house for a while."

 In the room No.2; Mael: "Who are you, what do you want to do to me?" You want to kill me and sell my organs! Help! "Dr. Erwan:" Everything is fine, we will not take your organs, we are just ordinary scientists. (notes in the notebook) The patient is paranoid and is afraid for her health, the level of fear five on a scale of one to ten. " Mael: "Why are you studying me? I'm a very average person ..." Dr.Roslyn: "Of course you are, we just want to check something."

 Anais, room no. 3: "Why am I here?" Dr.Roslyn: "Here you will have freedom and you will not listen to the comments of the society." Anais: "I don't understand anything." Dr. Marcus: "Do not worry about it, leave it to us, you just behave as usual."

 Room no. 4: Josette (panic): "Let me out of here! I won't be held in detention while someone is watching me! I won't be in your building knowing that you can go in whenever you want! If wanted such conditions I would be at the clinic and I would have recovered so far. "Dr. Erwan (notes in the notebook):" The subject shows the symptoms of anxiety attacks, the level of fear seven out of ten. Panicky looking around, we are worried she will discover the cameras placed in hidden parts of the room. "

 In the office, scientists summarized the previous day and then at one point Dr.Roslyn said, "I know how to make the study interesting- the winner of the bet 'Whoever will endure the longest' will be the main on the presentation of scientific work, while the rest will be marked only as assistants. What do you say?" Dr. Marcus:" I don't mind. If the fourth person lasts the longest, we will all be equally important. Still, I wouldn't mind to be in charge. " Dr. Erwan: "Ha, we'll still see that... I personally think that Josette will endure the longest, although she has shown intense symptoms today, she is terrified mainly by social situations, which we will be able to simulate, but not to that degree ... "Dr. Roslyn:" You are wrong, doctor, but let it be. I think Mael will stay the longest, it depends on the strength and frequency of hallucinations. "Dr. Marcus: "I think Anais will stay the longest. I wouldn't be sure for Loan, it's enough to get her back to the trauma and make it a trigger. " Dr. Erwan: "Then, the deal is on. It's forbidden to help anyone, let's make this a fair research."

 Dr. Marcus's notes: "Subjects are brought to the cells, we start with research from tomorrow. We will set ultimatums to see how fear will affect the psyche of each respondent individually. We come up with easier simulations and situations and then we have planned and a more difficult situations in which we will bring our subjects into.

DAY TWO

 Doctors are questioning patients.

 Room No. 1: Dr. Erwan: "Describe your traumatic experience to me." Loan (lowers her head): "I don't know if I want to remember it ..." Dr. Erwan: "I insist." Loan :,, I was four years old when the violence started. My father first mistreated my brother, then me and my mother. Do you have enough information? " Dr. Erwan: "We just started. How did that look like? Feel free to go into the details." Loan: "My father became jealous of my mother and beat her. At first my elder brother, who was fourteen years old then, acted as a protector and allowed father to hit him, but after he beat all three. Father once broke my brother's head with a bottle and made him a terrible scar, beat my mother to the bone fracture, I also got scars of his abuse. His mistreatment was no longer just because of jealousy, but he enjoyed it. " Dr. Erwan: "Where is your brother currently living?" Loan (crying): "He's dead for sixteen years. He killed him." Dr. Erwan: "How did that happen?" Loan (moaning): "I don't want to remember that, I have a nightmares after." Dr. Erwan: "But this is crucial for testing!" Loan: "I can't. I really can't talk about it now."

 Room No. 2: Dr. Roslyn: "What are you most afraid of? Do you have hallucinations and how do they look like?" Mael: "No, I don't know what you're talking about." Dr. Roslyn: "You must have visual, audible or tactile hallucinations, it's the basis of schizophrenia, that's your diagnose." Mael (she looks at her with wide open eyes): "Do you work for someone?" Dr. Roslyn: "What do you mean?" Mael (laughs loudly): "You just want to get informations from me. You work for the government or the FBI ... I won't say. I won't. (laughs) Jeffrey and I will remain silent!" Dr. Roslyn: "Who is Jeffrey?" Mael: "Nobody. He's ...he is not."

 Room No.3: Roslyn, when she had already given up trying to get information from Mael, went to Anais who was exercising in the room. Roslyn (shouted): "You can't do that! Here, I brought you a donut, it's a precious and full of cream ..." Anais (nervously): "No, I'm not hungry, but thank you." Dr. Roslyn: "I insist you to eat it, I brought it for you! Take it." Anais (unwillingly takes a donut with a look of disgust on her face): "Thanks. I'll eat it later ..." Dr. Roslyn: " Now. Here, I'll be here until you eat it. "

 Anais began to take small pieces of donut  and reluctantly take a bit of a bite, barely eating the whole donut of nearly five-hundred calories. She hoped she will throw it up when the doctor leave, but the doctor deliberately stayed for another two hours to make sure the donut was digested. Anais, as they saw on the camera later, tried to throw up but she couldn't do that, so she cried whole evening.

 Room No. 4: Dr. Marcus: "You're scared?" Josette: "A little bit. (trembling) I've seen cameras, you're spying on me!" Dr.Marcus: "How did you conclude that these are cameras? Maybe it's all because of your paranoia." Josette: "I'm not stupid, I know what the camera looks like!" Dr. Marcus: "Okay, you're right. We're constantly watching you in every situation." Josette (starts to have panic attack): "You can't do this to me! I want to go home! I can't stand to be watched all day, I can't ... (choking) no! You are monsters! I have to get out of here! " She couldn't do anything- she was confronted with her fear of breaking of privacy, but at least she knew how to alleviate this inconvenience by taking care of her other fear- the fear of getting undressed in front of someone and the fear of being nude in front of someone. She was afraid to even think what would happen if someone put her in that situation.

 Dr.Roslyn notes: The foundations for our experiment are set, we are waiting for the nature of the disorder to do its own.

THIRD DAY

 Loan woke up covered with sweat- she had a nightmare of the day the tragedy had occurred. This nightmare left her alone for several months now, but now it returned again. Anais punished herself with exercising late at night and then having slept three hours. Josette decided to lie under the blanket and lower her actions to a minimum while Mael, as they saw on the video, spoke with the air in front of her, so the scientists concluded that there was visual hallucination.

Room no. 1: Dr. Roslyn: "Describe what you dreamed last night." Loan (nervous): "I haven't dreamed anything." Dr.Roslyn: "I can see you did, I want you to tell me your dream." Loan: "I ... I sat in my room and studied, when I heard a shot ..." Dr.Roslyn (writes something and says): "Yes, continue." Loan: "I went out into the hallway and walked slowly to the living room ... There was  creepy ..." Dr. Roslyn: "What was happening in that room?" Loan: "Another gunshot was heard in the meantime ... in a living room were my mother and brother, in the blood puddle ... he shot them in the head ... and then I saw how he put the gun in his mouth and fired the last shot ... I was ten years old, and I remember everything ... I dream of them ... I'm going through it over and over again ... "

 Room No. 2: Dr. Erwan: "Are you sure Jeffrey is your friend?" Mael: "Yes, we've known each other for years ... How do you know about him?" Dr. Erwan: "He wants to do something bad to you. That's why he is with you." Mael: "No! No ... maybe ... he told me strange things yesterday ... He says I can't trust anyone, I'm not sure what exactly he meant. "

 Room No. 3: Dr. Marcus: "You need to eat everything I brought." Anais: "I'm a full ... I overate yesterday." Dr. Marcus: "If you don't eat that we will give you an infusion of double caloric intake from what's on the plate." Anais (crying): "Why are you doing this to me ?! What did I do to you ?! (takes a bit unwillingly, crying) "

 Room no. 4: Dr. Roslyn: "When was the last time you went to a doctor? In your card it says that you went five years ago. In others that number is much smaller." Josette (surprised): "Who are others and why you are interested in that?! " Dr. Roslyn: "We want to do a exam." Josette (panic): "A blood test or something, I hope." Dr. Roslyn: "ECG, in order to determine the function of the heart, perhaps ultrasound, to see the state of the internal organs, maybe the reproductive system should also be checked for ..." Josette: "No! You do not have my permission! You have that damn card and persistently thinking about ways to make my social anxiety worse! You don't have to examine and check anything, especially not the last, because I will not have children for the simple reason that I won't let anyone to touch me! " Dr. Roslyn: "Can't a young woman be aware of her health and without the desire to be a mother? By the way, when we are already in it, have you suppressed the motherhood instinct or did you not have it? "Josette (shaking, but trying to put herself together):" I refuse to answer your questions. Your three scientists are the monsters that keep me here to torture me, you have lost your minds, all to one! "

 Notes by dr. Erwan: Today we have concluded that fear can paralyze a person with a eating disorder, as well as a socially anxious person, to the degree that are made decisions opposite of urge or to the degree that natural instincts for reproduction and intimacy are disrupted to the ultimate border . In a person with a post-traumatic disorder we can see the repetition of the same motive of a nightmare for several years, but we are not sure whether the suicide could occurre due to the inherited factor from the father's side. The schizophrenia's patient is currently in the most stable state but that can, judging by natural characteristics of the illness, change quite suddenly.

DAY FOUR

 Dr. Erwan and Dr. Marcus speak in the office. Dr. Marcus: "Do you see that Dr. Roslyn is in the advantage? She will take the project!" Dr. Erwan: "Is this a competition? Anyway, I'm sure that her patient can easily come to the stage of complete discharge, and my patient is constantly accustomed to stress and can tolerate enough. " Dr. Marcus: "Of course, of course ... (thought) I need to get you out of the game." Dr. Erwan (thought) I will not let them take this important project from me. I'll speed things up. "

 Later, Dr. Roslyn arranged the same with both of them individually, also thinking that she should be the project leader.

 Room No. 3: Anais, along with Dr. Erwan, went for a walk. It may have seemed like normal activity, but Anais's appearance attracted the glances of people who pitied her, laughed, or just watched with astonishment, which really hurt her. From all of this she forgot that she is held there against her will and that she can ask someone for help.

 Room no. 2: Mael wrote on the clear white wall. Roslyn had a problem interpreting what she wrote, especially because the lines were curvaceous and unclear. Dr. Roslyn gave her more pens and several papers, wishing to see how Mael is currently thinking. She drafted several creations that resembled people , but not completely, and when she asked what it was Mael told her "Don't you see them? Here they are, in front of us!" Dr.Roslyn (realizing what it is): "Oh, of course , how can I forget. Of course they are here. "

 Room No. 4: Josette wanted to take a shower, but she was too afraid of the cameras, so she postponed it and figured out how to do it without her privacy being destroyed completely. She did something that was she thought would help- showering in the clothes she wore until now. Her blouse, her skirt and underwear were wet completely, but Josette didn't care about it, slowly took clothes off under the blanket and wrapped it around herself.

Dr. Marcus: "What was that? Why did you make all that play a little earlier?" Josette: "I know that cameras are everywhere, they are probably in the bathroom too and I had to take a shower, I'm here the forth day! " Dr. Marcus: "Why is it so difficult for you to be naked? What are you ashamed of?" Josette (panic): "I don't give you information, it's not your problem! Get out!" Dr. Marcus: "I brought your clothes, put it on." Josette (takes a short skirt and a T-shirt he brought to her) I don't wear this sort of things. " Dr. Marcus: "Either this or I will take that blanket and you will be left without anything. I'm going now, it would be better if you dressed it in ten minutes, I'll see you on the camera."

 In ten minutes he saw her in the clothes which he brought to her, still holding her blanket over her shoulder, but then he saw that she was very attractive, even though she hid her body under the clothes ...

 Room No.1: Loan again had a nightmares. Even when awake, she seemed to see blood on her hands, that the blood was all around her ... She began to hallucinate how her father was going to her and told her- "Now it's your turn ... " which left her scared. All the scientists agreed that she would be the first to succumb to self-destruction.

 Dr. Marcus's notes: The subject with schizophrenia is still in the best condition, while the person with PSTD is in the worst condition, so we will introduce the ultimate option tomorrow. A subject with the eating disorder didn't react with fear but with disappointment in herself, which changes course of our testing, but we can fix it in the coming days. I think that we will add some presentation or the short film tomorrow in order to speed up the research a bit. The anxiety patient doesn't cooperate enough, but shows a constant amount of fear that we know how to use.

DAY FIVE

 Since early morning scientists have begun exams.

 Room No. 2: Mael had an attack of paranoia and asked to go home, which she was not allowed to. She curled in the corner of the room and refused to talk to the doctors, only with "Jeffrey", but she started screaming with her ears covered with hands, occasionally hitting the air in front of her as if she wanted to push something away.

 Room No. 4: Josette was forcibly taken to medical exam, more due to the addition of fear than to actually have an insight into her health. Although there were only two female doctors in the room, Josette died of fear and shame as they were examined her. Something which is normal thing for somebody for a socially anxious person is a real horror, so she spent the whole afternoon crying and wanting to disappear from the face of the earth.

 Room No. 3: To Anais has been given a presentation of her "treatment" plan, which included a daily menu of three and a half thousand calories, with forbidden exercising, vomiting food or diet pills, until it goes to another extreme, i.e. morbid obesity. For Anais it was as if someone was taking her worst fears from the brain and turning it into the reality.

 Room No. 1: Loan didn't sleep last night, fearing that her nightmares could ruin that little sleep she had since she came here. The doctors put a "bloody" stains on the room, leaving a gun on the floor to see what will happen, whether the instinct for a suicide will trigger her like her father or will result in even worse fear. Loan was scared at first when she entered the room, but then took the gun and, without a word, put it on the cabinet next to bed. She stared at it for some time quietly, until she climbed on the bed and fell asleep. She dreamed her brother who told her: "These people want something bad from you, don't let them kill you. Don't shoot even though everything looks terrible now- they want you to do it. Remember that I would keep you safe, but know that I can also keep you this way. " Loan suddenly woke up, started thinking and realized that what her brother in dream said makes sense ...

 Notes by dr. Roslyn: A patient with schizophrenia had a sudden deterioration of the symptoms, which could be temporary. The patient with anxiety reacted more turbulent than before, as did a patient with a eating disorder, but the patient with PTSD had a very unusual reaction that we didn't expect. We are waiting for the sixth day of research.

DAY SIX

 From early morning there was a discussion among scientists. Dr. Roslyn: "What we have seen so far is not much!" Dr. Erwan: "It's because we stay within the limits of the allowed." Dr.Marcus: "We should cross that border." Dr.Roslyn: "How, to advise them to end their life? We have already reached the utmost limit of fear." Dr. Erwan: "That act is not our goal, but to see how it comes to that. Even that gun that we gave to a subject with post-traumatic stress is empty, we just wanted to see if it would come to that or not. So, our goal is a critical point, not a suicide itself. "Dr. Marcus:" Then we have to work harder and create the more realistic conditions. "

 Room No. 1: Loan (to doctors): "I don't trust you. I'm suspicious of this, I don't like what you do at all. I may have a trauma, but my mind is still on its place!"  Dr. Erwan : "What did you do with the gun?" Loan: "I put it away, I don't know what you expected me to do." Dr.Roslyn: "We found this album in your house. (giving album to her) We wanted to give you a little bit of entertainment and to remind you of nice memories .. . "Loan (nervous):" You were in my house? It's illegal." Dr. Markus:" We're going now, we have to work. " (leaving)

 Although she tried to not open the album, she couldn't resist the temptation. There were pictures of her family and she cried looking at them, remembering everything from the beginning. She stood up and took the gun, then leaned it on her head. She thought, "Maybe it's best for me to join them." Ghost that only she could see appeared before her and said- "No, we need you more alive! You have to resist their torture. The death won't bring you solution- you can't forget what you saw, but it remains as painful lesson for you how family shouldn't be treated. Our mother and I want you to recover and live your life, you deserve it after all these years of suffering. It won't mean if you die for me or her, it means more to see that you have managed to get better. Don't give up your life, we will always love you even when we are not with you. "

 Loan lowered the gun from her head and ghost showed in the direction of the camera. She pulled the trigger and  bullet ended in the camera, breaking it in a few pieces, so the scientists didn't see what happened after they left the room. So, someone left one bullet in a gun ....

 Room No. 2: Dr. Erwan entered the room. Everything was scattered, redecorated and, in all flat surfaces, incomprehensible words were written. Mael (loudly): "This is all an illusion! This is an illusion! You don't exist! Ha, you want to trick me ... Illusion!" Dr. Erwan:" What do you mean? " Mael: "I am sixteen years old, so I'm not at the clinic- I live in my house! What if it's not my house, but I'm living somewhere else? Who am I? What do you want from me? I don't understand anything anymore ! (panic) "Dr. Erwan (writes in the notebook):" The subject is completely lost in her attack, loses the connection to reality and claims that she is sixteen. " Mael: "Jeffrey told me you want to kill me, but I believe that he also can betray me. Everybody are suspicious. Oh, I'm late for the class! I have to go, there's my friend too. I'm late!" Dr. Erwan: "You are not going to school, you are twenty-six years old and don't get late anywhere." Mael: "No ... Everything is an illusion ... I know ... or I don't know ... you don't exist!" (shouting) You don't exist! "

 While Dr. Erwan recorded Mael's behavior, dr. Roslyn went to room no. 3: Anais (seeing the doctor): "If you bring me food again and if you force me to eat it again as before, I'll take a razor blade from the bathroom and cut with it because I can't stand it anymore! I endure this pain- I have not eaten for days, then you bring me a bunch of food and ruin my stomach! I can't do it anymore! " Dr. Roslyn:" I brought something else. Sit down. " Anais (seated): "Is it food again?" Dr. Roslyn: "No. (injects fluid into her vein) Here!" Anais: "What was that? What did you inject me?" Dr. Roslyn: "Just a substance for returning body weight." (a lie, it was ordinary water) Anais (panic): "No! I won't return the body mass!" Dr. Roslyn (pulls out the scale from the bag): "Here, you must be interested in how much pounds you've got so far..." Anais (takes a scale):" I returned twelwe pounds! Impossible! How could I go over hundred again?! I'm a failure! I can't stand this torture anymore! "(starts crying)

 During that time, Dr. Marcus decided to do the most radical thing, making sure Dr. Erwan would lose his bet.

 Room No. 4: Josette sat on her bed and tried to calm down but then Dr. Marcus entered, causing her to be terrified. Josette: "What kind of torture will you come up with today? You will make me play Lady Godiva or to pose to someone without clothes on? " Dr. Marcus:" No, I'm going to do this by myself. (moving the camera to the side) I don't know how much it will affect the research, but it doesn't matter, I'll try. (pulling the rope and trying to tie Josette's hands, but she opposes) " Josette (frightened):" You're going to kill me? Will you tie that rope around my neck and kill me? It's no problem, you've humiliated me completely." Dr. Marcus:" You think so? ( ties her hands and fixes her next to the wall) Do you think that yesterday was the end? (unbuttons her blouse)" Josette (screaming):" No! Please, no! (he throws her blouse on the floor) Doctor or whatever you are, let me go! " Dr. Marcus:" Come on, don't tell me this is scary to you ... There is nothing scary, you are so handsome and it would be a pity not to enjoy you ... (throws her skirt on the floor)" Josette (still screaming):" Help! I don't want to! Let me go! "

 He didn't listen, but he savagely took off the clothes from her until she stood in front of him without anything on her, completely embarrassed. This wasn't enough to him, but he wanted to cross that border. Her purity vanished in the worst possible way.

 Dr. Marcus (dressing up): "Don't tell this to Dr. Erwan, he bet on you, and for this reason I wouldn't like to know that I did this." Josette (numb): "How can I tell anyone about this shame? I feel like there's no fear in me anymore." Dr. Marcus: "Well, you've overcome your fear, you see that it's nothing terrible!" Josette (looks at him scornfully): "Yes, nothing terrible, except this damn pain that eats me inside." Dr. Marcus: "That pain is temporary, it will pass by tomorrow. You're just not used to it." Joseph: "I didn't mean that pain, but pain in my soul, and I would rather not get used to that other pain. I don't want to feel it again. " Dr. Marcus (wearing a coat): "Just slowly, I know this was a little stressful for you, but you'll get used to it. I thought this was an opportunity for me to win in a bet, but I would rather that you stay till the end, who cares for the lead in the project! See you tomorrow. (goes) "

 Josette went to the bathroom, took a shower and put on her clothes. Dr. Marcus forgot to return the cameras to the place, so she was sure no one would spy on her this evening.

 Dr. Marcus's notes: A patient with PSTD began to doubt us and then the camera was broken. A schizophrenic patient completely lost contact with reality, but we don't think she is at the edge of paranoia yet. The patient with a eating disorder mentioned the an act of self-harming/ suicide attempt, while a social-anxious person lost her fear, it is possible that fear has reached the limit.

DAY SEVEN

 The doctors behaved strangely today, with Dr. Marcus being the strangest among them.

Dr. Roslyn: "In room No.1 the camera was destroyed, in room number 4. every camera was moved to the side, so we didn't go to see either the 2nd or the 3rd room." Dr. Ervan: "Then we will visit them. We will also bring notes to record all the changes. "

Room No. 3: Anais wasn't in the room, so they looked in the bathroom. Dr. Roslyn: "Oh, for God's sake!" Dr. Erwan: "How did it come to this, we said it wasn't in the plan!" Dr. Marcus: "Are you sure you gave her a clean water injection, Dr. Roslyn?" Dr. Roslyn: "Yes, after all, she bleed out, she didn't die because of an injection!"

 Anais was lying dead on the floor. She died as a result of cuts on her forearms and neck that she had self-inflicted with razor blade which was standing in the bathroom. Of course, they blamed Dr. Roslyn because she was with her yesterday, but they all shared guilt equally.

 Room no. 2: Fortunately, Mael was alive, but she was even more scared now. Dr. Marcus (quietly): "At least she's alive, and the experiment can be stopped for a while." Mael: "Experiment? I'm in the experiment!! I don't want to be studied, I want to go home!" (look left and talks to void) What do you say? I could do it. " Dr. Erwan: "What are you doing?" Mael (removing the metal bracelet from her hand and bending it), I'm running away. You are worse even than me, I will not be here anymore. " Dr. Erwan: "You can not get out of here ..." Mael ( to "Jeffrey"): "We'll see you, goodbye." (She put the ends of the metal bracelet into the socket, causing the electric shock that killed her). Roslyn: "I can not believe it! What's happening today ?!" Dr. Erwan: "This has gotten a little out of control, but we have to go to the remaining two subjects, to check that everything is fine." Dr. Marcus: "Doctor Erwan, now this is your fault." Dr. Erwan: "Okay, but if something happened to my patient, then that will be your fault, right?" Dr. Marcus (turned pale): "It doesn't necessarily mean that something happened."

 Room no. 4: Already at the entrance, the doctors saw Dr. Marcus didn't well-assume -Josette's body was hanging from a rope that he left yesterday in her room. Dr. Marcus: "Damn it!" Dr. Roslyn: "Well, why this happened? What did you do? I'm interested. "Dr. Marcus (nervously):" I didn't ask you what you did. " Dr. Erwan: "I told my subject that she is not in the illusion, but I told her that this is a reality." Dr. Roslyn: "I, as I told you, injected water for which I said is a fluid for the returning weight, which has disturbed the person to some degree, but I think that bringing the scale has upset her more. What have you done? " Dr. Marcus: "I've ... performed defloration of this person." Dr. Erwan (disgustingly): "Doctor, it's a crime! You can go to jail for that!" Dr. Marcus (loudly): "Oh, and who made this experiment in which you took the right to freedom for people with mental disorders? Or that doctor Roslyn took the cards from the hospital? I'm just a cherry on a top and you you made the whole cake. If we sink, we sink together." Dr. Roslyn:" Okay, let it be, but you will carry her on your soul. " Dr. Erwan: "Anyway, we all take on an individual risk and an equal honor in this project, given that there is still one person that none of us bet on." Dr. Roslyn: "If she is even alive."

 Room No. 1: There was nobody in the room, nor in the bathroom, which was extremely unusual since nobody could get out of the room! How did she disappear? The doctors looked at each other first in wonder and then worriedly. After that, they heard the sound of the police sirens coming from outside. Dr. Erwan: "Dammit, I think she somehow reported us!" (looking out the window) Yes, she is, here she is next to a police car." Doctor Roslyn (panic) :, "What should we do, they'll take us to prison!" Dr. Marcus (letting carbon monoxide in the room): "We will not risk, they would give us the prison for the rest of our lives for it and for those experiments from before." Dr. Roslyn: "What about the bodies and notes?" Dr. Erwan: "They are irrelevant, they can't condemn us if they are already dead."

 The police went into the place of the experiment, searching for a scientist's office. They found scientists dead because of carbon monoxide poisoning, then the rest of the bodies and notes of all the experiments so far. The shelter was destroyed so that no more such criminal acts could occur.

 Loan, the only one who survived the experiment, went for treatment.

 Of course, it took time for the therapy to begin to work, but her nightmares became a thing of the past and she could have functioned more normally. She got married, had two children whom she kept from traumatic experiences but, luckily, her husband was not violent either. She was sorry for other young women who couldn't get away and were only one day away to be free again.

 Nevertheless, the scientists have proved on their own example that fear of something can become stronger and from the survival instinct. What's a pity that they will not be able to record in their notes, in addition to all the other things from which people like me freak out. Or, nevertheless , it's good that these notes will remain unfinished. Who knows. Nobody but me.

Disscusion

 This was the story closest to the horror of all the stories I have written so far, but again in my style ("The Black Follower" is rewritten after this story, so now I still add that this one is in the range with it, this is a psychological horror,  "Black Follower" is a general horror.) The script is written as" The Depth of Deepest Thoughts ", ie by days, not chapters, or in one part as the majority after "Onyx ". As usual, it was written in a few days (3 to be precise), the characters were first created as a sketch, which is also common to me.

 The topic ... If you had the opportunity to look at the "Kingdom of the Eternal Darkness," then you saw that I am constantly thinking morbidly, so the writing of such stories is a reflection of it. However, with this story my anxiety came to the fore, not depression like the usually, and I wrote some kind of psychological horror for people who are afraid of losing personal freedom, privacy, etc. The idea of the story came from fear: the fear so paralyzing to the degree that the connection with reality is lost and natural instincts are forgotten. Usually the characters of my stories are girls aged 14-25, but now we have somewhat older young women who are up to 30 years old, which is still not much, but I have moved the border up a little. The reason for this is that I personally don't I see myself as an adult (I don't have a freaken idea how I got 23 years, I don't even remember when I was a teenager :D :/), and it's easier for me to get into the psyche of some younger characters. Unfortunately, many of my characters don't even experience late years , it's not like I have the prospect of something like that, otherwise I wouldn't write such a morbid stories. :|

 So I'm not on the side of a scientist, but on the side of their "subjects". I was thinking about the last scene with Josette, whether to write it or not, and then how to do it without exaggerating it, so it was the most uncomfortable for writing and reading, but important for the story.

 In Mael's description I used mostly unrealistic beliefs and paranoia and in some books on psychology there was an example of writing incomprehensible words on surfaces like sheets, so I added that part to make the description complete, there are also standard symptoms like hallucinations. I tried to be as authentic as possible, I think I did better now than bipolar in "Manica", but the fact is that I can't describe anything better than depression and anxiety when I have these same symptoms for years.

 Anais is another in the series of characters with eating disorders because the fear of returning weight is at the core of the disorder, along with some fears of passing the permitted calorie limit, or that someone doesn't find out about throwing up food (for bulimia), and so on. In anorexia nervosa there are a combined symptoms of a several mental disorders, most often obsessive-compulsive aka. OCD, depression and anxiety, that's why it's not enough just to increase one's calories and expect sudden improvement. So it is best to react at the beginning, until it's not so severe, but sometimes it's difficult because a person is hiding the problem from the very beginning and eventually comes to that . In the story might be even a person with an obsessive-compulsive disorder, but Anais somehow already has a part of the OCD.

 Josette first had some things that to many people nowadays sound absurd, but for people with social anxiety even getting out of the house is a big thing, let alone going to some places or even going to the doctor. This reminded me of when I went to the doctor when I was fourteen years old because of diabetes diagnose, so he sent me to the ECG, where I started to panic and rushed away from the hospital when we finished. Such things only made my anxiety worse, so now I don't go to the doctor, I always panicked for days before medical-checkups during the school and it's no secret that from the fifth grade I didn't wear short-sleeved t-shirts in the public, but now there are also some "additional reasons" for that :/. Here, to someone absolutely normal thing, to me a horror scenario. Sometimes this anxiety is really tough, it knows to break me in the short term and I can't put myself together for hours.

 As far as Josette is concerned, there was a point that even a person without social anxiety could barely bear and here it was a last thing she could endure.

 Loan is the only one who managed to survive everything and even return to normal at least a bit. It would certainly not have happened that  "ghost" of her brother didn't say that she must continue. Trauma is not forgotten overnight, quite the contrary , then the psyche returns that image that has left the strongest impression on it. Depending on the type of trauma, a person may have moderate symptoms, sometimes have nightmares ( that relatively often happens to me, I hope I will stop having dreams about this same place already) and sometimes it goes so far as to cause trauma to be the primary source of all psychological problems. It is difficult to see everything objectively because the most intense feelings were activated during the experience that caused this trauma.

 Scientists are, in this story, those who take away the last respect of people in order to "save" other people. In one song I talked more about it, but in short the point is that medicine sometimes knows to violates the human right of freedom and privacy, only in order to clear some of its conclusions. By that I thought about the autopsy, I understand that it is sometimes the only way to find the murderer or to have an insight into the circumstances of a person's death, but from my social-anxiety angle it seems unimaginable and creepy, no matter what the person is dead. Let's say that the depression made me think about what happens to the body after death, in this case unnatural death, that thought creates a great paranoia in my brain, I've already told you that this social anxiety is annoying sometimes and makes you think about strange things. I don't hate medicine in general,just that part, it's great thing to save people who need to be saved, tho, don't mind my paranoia. @_@

 Dear reader, I hope this wasn't too heavy story or too messed up, I tried to keep it under control as much as possible.
